BABBO RESTAURANT
HOSPITALITY design
Babbo is a neighbourhood Italian restaurant with a taste of La Dolce Vita meets Little Italy. Our design brief centred around creating a welcoming space that resonates with both locals and visitors, offering a light and airy atmosphere perfect for relaxation and enjoyment.
The goal was to craft an interior that is not only family-friendly but also appealing to Londoners who value the rich cultural heritage of the area while savouring authentic Mediterranean cuisine.
project outcome
Our Mediterranean-inspired conceptual direction combines polished plaster finishes, beautiful fluted wall lights, and bespoke resin flooring with intricate tiled patterns to create a harmonious and inviting environment. The bar and lounge area’s interior direction combines warm burgundy leathers, dark timber finishes, and a captivating bespoke illuminated mirrored ceiling which adds a touch of artistry and elegance.
One of the standout elements of our design was the bespoke mirror by Ruth Parker. We positioned the mirror around the arched column to catch the eye of customers as they walk in and dine. With the abstract etching on the mirror along with the burgundy tones immerses customers into the story of Babbo.
The feature floor, designed with poured resin and circular tiles, was another standout element which added a vibrant Mediterranean touch to the space. The combination of the smooth resin surface with the intricate circular tiles served a striking focal point.
